Friends of the Rouge
The Friends of the Rouge, a nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to the restoration and stewardship of the Rouge River (Detroit area), is seeking an Assistant Program Manager for the Rouge Education Project. This is a full-time position. Click here for a job description, with contact information. The application deadline is August 3, 2007.
Friends of the Rouge is an outreach and education organization founded in 1986.
- The Watch Frogs program is a training provided by MDEQ and FOTR. The program includes trainings to help watershed dwellers identify wetlands and understand the restoration process.
- FOTR received an EPA grant to create a Geographic Information System (GIS) database oh habitat along the Rouge to better evaluate clean up progress.

- Fosters cooperation and provides guidance for communities on the Rouge.
