From Great Lakes Wiki
My name is Jason Chapman and it is my honor to welcome you to our creation, The Great Lakes Wiki project. I am 25 years old and a senior in journalism with a specialization in philosophy at Michigan State University. Ever since I was a young man, I have been taught to respect the enviroment and to be concious of the issues concerning the Earth. When I heard about this project I jumped at the opportunity to get the word out about the threats to our Great Lakes. In the course of my research about the Great Lakes I have learned that it will take an enourmous amount of time, money, and effort, to combat the growing problems that threaten this national treasure. The damage is continuing to grow worse and the threats are becoming more dangerous; however, the battle is not lost yet and together we are forging a front on many sides. My hopes for the Great Lakes wiki project is that it will merge educational resources, activim groups, experts in the field professional journalists and citizen journalists into a single multi-allied force dedicated to save the Great Lakes and preserve it for generations after generation.
I will always cherish my days spent up north with my family on Shupac Lake in Lovells, Michigan.
