Anyone can edit anything on this website (after you log in).

If you think you can improve on what you see, click the edit tab at the top of the page. For adding a new page see: How to create a new page

You can also add images and sound to any of the pages or to a new page that you make. Tell a story with images or sound.






The edit tab will open the edit window:


Once the edit window is open, you can change the text on the page.

There are a few buttons for basic formatting at the top of the window. These can be used for creating links or bold text. For more information on formatting see: Cheatsheet.

Other important functions

  • Besides being editable, each page also has an associated discussion page where users can talk about the content and disuss changes, updates or disputed information. Discussion pages can be edited like all the other pages on this site.
  • Each user has a user page which is generated when you create a new account. You can add images and text to your user page just as you would do any other page on Great Lakes Wiki. User pages can be viewed at Special:Listusers.
